This page is designated for Prayer needs that I hope you will join with me in lifting before the Lord! Please feel free to reply with a prayer need of your own that we all can lift up as well!
PRAISE: Thanks to your donations, I have been able to start a Togo T-shirt project which will help fund a variety of projects for the hospital. The start-up funds came from your donations, and with the sales of the shirts, the money generated will be able to self-sustain the project while raising funds for the hospital. We have already raised over $1100 in the first month which allowed us to start vaccinating our newborn babies against Hepatitis B--a prevalent, deadly, preventable disease here in Togo.
FUTURE MINISTRY: I have a love for the Fulani people--a very large Nomadic, Muslim tribe across West Africa. In Togo, this group is mainly in the North, but there are many Fulani settlements in the South as well. While my future goals are to work among this people group in Mango through the Hospital of Hope, pray that I might have opportunities for language learning and relationship building with those Fulani people who come seeking care here at our Southern Hospital as well.
Hospital of Hope
Currently, a new ABWE hospital in the Northern part of Togo is under construction. The hospital will reside in Mango which is within the 10/40 window and deeply surrounded by unreached people groups (people that don't even have access to hearing the Gospel), many of which follow folk Islam. There are currently a many team members already living in Mango, building relationships and learning language. Please pray
for the team and the ministry that has already begun. Pray that they would be able to open the hospital on time: january 5,2015!
Although I am still in the Post-Residency program with Samaritan's Purse, I have already joined ABWE to start my journey towards being a long-term missionary in Mango, Togo. There are MANY steps that I must go through before I can move back to Togo permanently which include:
1) Support Raising: $3500/month
2) Hopeful acceptance into the program MedSend which will help pay my medical
school loans while I am serving in Togo.
3) Completion of 4 bible classes online along with the reading of several books
Among other things...
Thank you for love for me and, more importantly, your Love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May we join in prayer in order that the Lord will be worshipped and magnified above all else.
